Glow in the Dark Promo Vid

this video is all sorts of amazing I just had to post it!

Guess what came in the mail!

...My Alexander Wang Coco Duffel (finally)
I absolutely love it! It's the perfect size and the leather is so soft. The studs at the bottom add a little weight to the bag but nothing serious. I'll be totin' this bag around for a while b/c everybody know's how much of a studs fan I am haha. Halloween is tommorrow, go out and enjoy your weekend!

Wanting: Jeffrey Campbell Alexa Wedge Booties.

LF and Jeffrey Campbell teamed up to release the Alexa Wedge  bootie (inspired by the Acne Atacoma Wedge Bootie) and the Poland Lace-up bootie (inspired by the Burberry Prossum Leather Ankle Boots) and although I'm not really interested in the Poland Lace-up boots I absolutely love the Alexa Wedge booties! I actually really wanted the Acne version when I saw Alexa Chung w/ them but I'll settle for the Jeffrey Campbell version (priced much cheaper @ $195) so hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on these when they drop in the next couple of weeks. I hope these are comfortable to walk in though, and if not atleast they'll look good in pictures lmao!

Weekend Update.

So if you follow me on twitter you would know that this past weekend I went to Kings Dominion to finally attend the infamous Fright Fest. It was the absolute perfect day to go b/c it really felt like Halloween, those weird clouds glazed the skies again that made it a fiery orange color and that eerie wind was definitely blowing. Despite those zombies and monsters targeting me! I was able to get a few good shots. Seriously though, thankgod for camera straps b/c if not I probably would've dropped my camera a couple of times being scared by those gools! haha pure fun though, If you can't attend a Fright Fest this year I definitely recommend it for next!

Tuesday Tunes: The Police.

Just needed to hear this today.

Don't Let the Dream Killers, Kill your self esteem...

Let me set the scene up for you, it's saturday night and my friends and I are relaxing at my house watching movies. After our 2nd movie in we get into a heated discussion about who decides "whats right/wrong" or "cool/uncool". I don't really want to make this a crazy long post b/c I feel like somewhere along the lines I've touched on this subject already. It seems like people put themselves on this pedestal and feel like it's ok to look down and dictate the lives of others. I feel like you have to be your own person and do your own thing, never conform yourself to the ideas of others and fall back into this age old bullshit of "fitting in". Constantly people around me are walking around saying whats in and whats out and I just wanna scream  shut the fuck up and let people make their own decisions. Everyday I have to realize how open-minded you have to be b/c people think differently, dress differently, do different things and are allowed to have a mind of their own. Also you should never have to censure yourself b/c someone else doesn't agree with you, we are all allowed to have our own thoughts. I don't agree with a lot of the things some of my closest friends do, but I don't write them off just because we don't agree. Being yourself seems to be the hardest thing to do for most, can you believe that? It's 2009, time to grow up, get over it, and move on. There's more important shit to worry about than what some "cool guy/girl" has to say about you.

Happy Birthday to me!

First off I would like to thank my amazing parents & family for making my special day wonderful! Despite the minor issues throughout the day it was the perfect way to spend my birthday! It started out w/ a birthday breakfast at iHop w/ my friends then once I got home it was shopping and hangin' with my mom, who surprised me w/ a Nikon D3000 & I've been snapping pics w/ it all day! After running around the city of Richmond, we ended the night with a beautiful dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant Maggiano's and eating my favorite food Penne Ala Vodka! If you know me well you would know how much I love Italian food and all sorts of pasta. The only problem that went wrong during the day is that the dress I ordered for my birthday didn't come! so my mom and I scrambled around Richmond trying to find a substitute and this little black dress I found in H&M did the trick! My day was full of great people and I thank god for another year!

[on to the pictures]

(I love this picture of my mom & I <33)

most of these pictures were taken with my Nikon and bare w/ me I just got it today so I'm learning! But I absolutely love it, my mom know's how much I want too study Fashion Merchandising and Photo Journalism in College so she figured the camera would be perfect for me. & theres one more surprise! she bought me the Alexander Wang Coco Duffel and it should be here sometime next week!
Amazing day.

Reality Check

Jean Paul Gaultier For Target.

for March 2010.
Target has collaberated with some of the biggest fashion heads and I'm excited for this collabo. Although I never seem to get my hands on any of the pieces before they sell out and are seen on Ebay for rediculous amounts of money!

"Jean Paul Gaultier for Target pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American culture, the retailer said."

LMFAO Interview x Tropical.Tv

This interview is hilarious and suits the groups name perfectly. I'm gone to go practice my british accent hehe bloke bloke!

My new crush...

Whenever I'm home watching TV, it's mostly That 70's show, Law & Order SVU, Golden Girls, & Spongebob lol. I'm not a major TV person so what I watch is really repeats of old shows. But, being that my TV is usually on TBS or USA, I keep seeing the commercials for a new show "White Collar" starring Matthew Bomer (who plays Neal Caffrey) and resurrecting Kelly from 'Saved by the Bell'. I'm not even really interested in the show, but those beautiful eyes are just calling me! haha, I'm definitely crushing :)

We Were Once A Fairytale: Kanye West x Spike Jonze.

(Before reading this post, check the video here)

So my brother and I just got finished watching this short film by Spike Jonze and Kanye West entitled "We Were Once A Fairytale" while it was a little disturbing,I must say it's an extremely symbolic video. You really have to pay attention to get what the message of the video is but I think what Kanye & Spike Jonze were trying to portray is how the world perceives Kanye, and how his actions have made him look to everyone else around him. In the end when he cuts himself open and theres some sort've creature coming out, I think he's just saying that, that part of him is gone, he came into the music industry with something fresh and new, doing something nobody was really doing at the time. We all loved him, but with success & celebrity there will always be problems. Kanye being branded as the international asshole I think a lot of people try to give him a chance but then he does something and people are quick to judge him. Kanye West is a genius, and I'll stand by that statement but I think he just makes a lot of mistakes (which we all do) & those mistakes are highly publicized in the media. His music is amazing and he is definitely an artist I'll continue to support.

Brooklyn.

I love Mos Def more and more, everyday.

Constantly creating.

I'm always inspired by everything around me, whether it be people, other blogs, clothes, music w/e. So if I'm not cutting up old clothes or looking for some new DIY projects I do sketch here & there. Something I've kept very private because I'm not the best at it but I'm getting there! My most recent project was creating a banner for my blog, I sketched it and scanned it onto my computer, now I'm working on editing and tweaking to make it just right!

It'll be up soon, and most likely that comes along with a new layout as well. I know I've changed around my blog billions of times but I can't stick w/ something too long unless it's perfect!

Flashback Friday: The Wu!

now go out and enjoy your weekend!
